All things added on to a manufactured home – including an extra room, must be self-supporting as not to pull on the sides of the home. The walls can’t exceed any more weight or download weight, than the manufacture’s specifications. When the permit was pulled for an add-on room, then the county or city inspection must come out and approve and sign off on the addition. They know the codes. They are not responsible after one year for misrepresentation. The lenders want the additions to be put on right for buyer’s protection.
