David has an extensive background in construction, is certified and licensed for residential and commercial property inspections, and holds a public adjuster license. Mary is a certified and licensed home inspector. Together, with decades of hands-on experience, they bring an unparalleled expertise to every inspection.
David is originally from Charleston, West Virginia, and spent much of his life in Ohio before serving in Europe during his military years. He is a proud veteran who served for six years. His passion for mentoring inspired him to create one of Florida’s largest architectural and glass glazing apprenticeship programs. This program helps young men and women learn a trade and successfully enter the workforce. Coming from a family of 13, David values hard work and believes in the importance of giving back. He lives by the philosophy of doing one good deed every day.
Mary spent over 20 years as an ICU nurse and remains active in healthcare. She taught CPR, ACLS, and paramedics in Illinois. She later became a Dive Rescue Specialist and Fire Lieutenant in Spring Grove, IL. When she met David, she was already skilled in electrical work and home repairs. She is the third of eight siblings, loves teaching, helping others, gardening, and cooking.
David is a chair for the Dunnellon Chamber & Business Association (DCBA), and is a proud member of professional organizations such as the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI), and the Certified Commercial Inspectors Association (CCPIA). Mary teaches at “Master the Possibilities” at On Top of the World, helping others prepare for inspections.
For the past 23 years, David and Mary have called Florida home, settling in this area for its welcoming, safe community. They enjoy fishing, diving, motorcycling, biking, camping, or boating, and spending time with their two sons, six grandchildren, and close friends.
